In this half video for free, I discuss the historical circumstances and philosophical schools in the Roman Period. Still intoxicated from Hellenism, the Roman Stoics imbibed a syncretic blend of various philosophies that even included a vague notion of a universal “logos” principle, as we see in Marcus Aurelius’ famous ‘Meditations.’ The full talk can be obtained by subscribing to JaysAnalysis at the PayPal links below.
Greetings Jay!
First off, thanks for the insights brought from your material. As a layman, i thought Christianity was stupid but after hearing many of your talks and reading many of your articles, i now see that it has a much greater depth than previously considered.
I would really like to know your take on Julius Evola’s book “Revolt against the modern world” and particularly his view of christianity as a subversive religion vis-a-vis the roman tradition.
Keep up the good work!
