Many have asked for explanations of why we worship the way we do. We believe the liturgy is a natural development from the Temple and synagogue system as the covenant was opened to the Gentile nations when Christ came. Many who are unaware of our views think we have a “gnostic” liturgy that contains “secret doctrines” or some bizarre notions of “yoga,” when anyone could easily seek out a documentary like the above to see our beliefs are neither insane nor “pagan.” The Orthodox Church alone has preserved the ancient liturgical worship.
