I knew Fr.Dcn. Ananias Sorem many years ago before he entered the Orthodox Church. I know we both share a hunger for truth. My hunger has led me to the Catholic Church but I appreciate the valid criticisms against the corruption and am grateful for those who are willing to stand against hell bound clerics (popes included). As I am learning more about the Orthodox view of God, grace, Liturgy, and several other topics, I am more and more impressed by the contemplative depth of Orthodox theology. The current state of the post Vatican 2 Catholic Church, as with disgusting states in the past, deserve rebuke. My loyalty belongs to God so there is not much I have to say against the Orthodox Church (I still consider myself to be ignorant of truly understanding the Orthodox Church) and I remain outraged against the many evils within the Catholic Church. The Liturgical abuses disgust me, the sinful atrocities infuriate me and the shallow Catholic cheerleaders enable the filth within the Catholic Church that deserves to be cursed. All that said, my newfound appreciation for Orthodox theology has yet to cause a desire to abandon my Catholic vessel. Nonetheless, as someone who likes to know all the options available to me I am curious to know what Catholic rite would be most compatible with the Orthodox worldview? It seems like the Byzantine Catholics might be a refuge if I ever reach the limit with the Roman rite. If it walks like a clown and talks like a clown then it is a clown… In Christ, JohnPaul
