  1. Now you’re speaking my language!
Citations from the 1933 Contemporary Orthographic Hermeneutic Lexicon of the Greek Tongue from the Academy of Athens (translatio gratia per me):

Magic (μαγεία)· the theology of the ancient mages (Zoroastrians)|| the use of drugs, philtres, charms and other mysterious methods for causation of supernatural energies of the secret powers of nature upon man.

Pharmacy (φαρμακεία)· provision of poisonous or supposedly magical drugs.|| use of poison to perpetration of a crime, poisoning. (the entry τὸ φαρμακώνω is “I give a drug, I poison, I murder by poison”)

And check it out, a word predating its associated invention…
Television (τηλεόρασις)· (from spiritualism) the ability of some individuals to see images or scenes from great distances without the help of the eyes or other optical means.

Therefore a sports fan televiewing the game actually ὁραματίζεται (horamatizetæ: to have visions) in adoration/worship (λατρείᾳ) of the stars (astrolatry?) of the show. All this supposedly for Entertainment…

Entertainment/psychagogy (ψυχαγωγία)· the energy of to entertain as with whatever entertains man, distraction, pleasure…

Entertainer/psychagogue (ψυχαγωγός)· he who conducts, who leads the souls: an epithet/adjective of Hermes/Mercury as leading the souls of mortals to Hades/Hell.
