  1. Interesting comments on Harry Potter, alt media seems to overlook it and the other big “young adult” novel derived franchises.

    It’s telling that Harry Potter makes a comeback now, as it and the Hunger Games share a similar story line. In addition to the occult elements in Harry Potter, there is a political level to the programming. The basic narrative is that the main characters are insurgents up against a totalitarian force/government. Millennials who read these books would never associate the Obama administration with abuses of power a la the government in Hunger Games or the antagonists in Harry Potter. These two franchises may program their viewers to see themselves as the brave social justice warriors fighting the “fascist” Trump.
