JaysAnalysis on Esoterica in True Detective Season 1 & 2

Echoing Lost Highway, the porn underground is tied into the corruption matrix of L.A.

In this test run, I integrate music from Ariel Electron and X Dream’s “The First” for an overview analysis of True Detective Season 1 and 2, and Hollywood Esoterica, my forthcoming book and radio show. Here, I delve into the deeper aspects of the HBO series, including Jungian archetypes, occult murder, Southern Gothic literature and much more!

Season 1 here.

Season 2 here.

  1. Very interesting thanks … I will read the articles later but I have to say I was disappointed with the ending of Season 2 … the whole voicemail to his son and the mobile phone saying failed to upload … well it was just overstated and ‘telegraphed’ …

  2. The role movies and entertainment play in social programming is fascinating and certainly deserves a show dedicated to its analysis. Following the evidentiary trails leads you to some really weird places. That’s why they call it going down the rabbit hole. We live in an age where all media and significant institutions (medicine, education, food, entertainment, work, religion, etc.) appear to have been weaponized. Two thumbs up!
