In this interview, Aaron and I discuss Bertrand Russell, the Fabian Society, the Cold War dialectic, breakaway civilization, and a selection of science fiction films Aaron found to be insightful, such as Snowpiercer, Soylent Green, and Zardoz.

  1. Great session with Aaron Dykes. Loved the new insight on Zardoz in particular with head of Baphomet / John the Baptist / Freemasonry represented by the floating stone megalith mask. Most people dismiss the great allegories because all of the kinky imagery. One thing that you both touched briefly was the worship of death. It struck me that most societies on the brink of collapse become fixated on death. This mindset becomes a catalyst for unleashing all sorts of destructive behavior, ala late Rome and Mesoamerican cultures. Question remains whether this fascination with death is the presage or the cause.
