Creepy. Is this the one that takes place in Africa? Video games are loaded with conspiracy discourse, deep politics, semiotic programming and the like. I’m not a huge “gamer” so I don’t get to see it all but whenever I do play a video game I’m always surprised how much more complex many of them are compared to tv and movies. The Metal Gear Solid series, for instance, is quite deep. Today’s kids are getting a better historical and philosophical education from games then they are from much of what is on tv.

The recent Assassin’s Creed games are quite historically accurate in many ways, however they are aggressively anti-Christian and anti-religious in general. Typical crap where the biblical God is really a malevolent space alien and anyone who holds Christian beliefs is pure evil. Surprisingly I haven’t heard any outcry against this game yet.

On a semi-related note, have you seen the new Tron movie? I went last night. It seems to be more of the William Blake style neo-Gnosticism. I feel like I’m beating a dead horse whenever I say that that’s all Hollywood seems to make but really they’re the one’s beating the dead horse. I wonder where they get educated in this stuff? I’m still trying to decide whether the original Tron was traditional Christian or Gnostic in character. I’ll have to see it again to figure it out.

    Anyway, Happy New Year.

When the US Government nuked Raccoon City in at the end of Resident Evil 3 the death toll was north of 100,000. In Resident Evil 2 and 3 some documents hint that Umbrellas T-Virus research had some backing from the senate.

This particular file is most likely a reference to this in game conspiracy and not a reference to real life events. Behind the plot of resident evil there is a deep and interesting political story that goes very far in depth but is also very hard to find as it is in scattered documents throughout the series.

You can play through and find them or just Google it if you are curious. I recommend the second option if you are really that interested because it is truly an amazing story and a fun read.

    Happy New Year 2011
